You may know of my interest in, and work with, our “human cousins” the Sidhe.

I want to offer you a quote from a new book by David Spangler and the Sidhe, just published by Lorian Press. It is full of wonderful practical earth and star wisdom that could help you to think about everything in the world differently. I feel immersed and inspired by this book.
A tiny bit of introduction first:
The Sidhe (a Celtic word meaning “People of Peace,” and pronounced “she”) are a race of humans who did not come all the way into complete physicality like what we know as humanity did. They stayed in the realm of spirit to explore fluid creative manifestation, while we descended further into the earth to learn how to work with matter.
My colleague and spiritual mentor David Spangler has been exploring, introducing, and teaching new perspectives on spirituality for the last fifty-plus years, since his first vision of the deeper possibilities of being human came into his awareness at age 17. He calls his work Incarnational Spirituality.
David writes:
“…Interestingly, one reason for collaboration between Sidhe and human that my Sidhe contact did not bring up was a response to the ecological challenges we are facing in the world, the most alarming of which is climate change.
“Given the attunement and sensitivity of the Sidhe to nature and wholeness, I think I was expecting her to give some warning or make some pronouncement about our relationship to nature or how badly we are treating the earth and what we should do about it. When this didn’t come, I decided to bring up the issue myself and see what she had to say.”
This is what David’s Sidhe colleague said:
Do you need more warnings? Do you need your eyes opened to what is happening in your world? I think not. In any event it is not my purpose or task to bring you apocalyptic messages.
But as you have asked I will say this. Do you fear the collapse of your civilization as it proves inadequate to the changes happening in the world? Far better to fear the collapse of hope. Far better to fear the collapse of joy. Far better to be alarmed at the collapse of imagination and creativity. For these are the qualities that you need to change your direction in the world. The loss of your coastlines to a rising sea is nothing compared to the loss of your capacity to love and to find wholeness within yourself and within your world.
Humans are not facing challenges of ecology. You are facing challenges of psychology. Your inner climate is wracked with storms of fear and anger, hatred and revenge. This is where the change must happen. It is how you think of yourselves that must transform. What can you do to change your inner climate?
Yes, nature needs your help. Yes, the world needs your concern, your awareness, your love, and support. Yes you are threatened. But what truly threatens you are outworn thought forms of who you are. You do not see the wholeness of life in the world because of this, you do not see the wholeness of life within yourselves.
We can help you with this, More importantly, you, each of you, can help with this. Choose to see the world as a living presence. Choose to see the power of love within yourself. Change your inner climate and you will find your way to a new world. Stay as you are, and a new world will be upon you, but it will not be to your liking …or to ours.
This is the nature of my work with you. My companions and I seek to help you to change the climate of your lives. Then we can truly be partners.

Rings true to experience. Whatever of our hearts we dont own will manifest in the world including in the souls of our fellow human beings.
To speak poetically if one casts out ones demons they must find somewhere (someone) to live. Love and hate are beings of equal power and importance and both are essential to our evolution. Our rejection of either is a rejection of the world.
It seems to me the evolution of Earth and humanity are one – we exist for one another.
It seems that our evolving towards Freedom comes at a considerable cost.
Blessings
P.
Thank you for your poetic heart, Peter. I love this: “It seems to me the evolution of Earth and humanity are one – we exist for one another.”
So true: “Choose to see the world as a living presence.” We should not see ourselves as separate from the Earth, She gives us strength and makes us truly human. Our souls depend on this connection.
Very nice, Amy. I think that showing up on earth as us is how the soul, and the Sacred, participate in the earth, in the material realm.
“Change your inner climate and you will find your way to a new world.” This is what EFT does.
Well said, Alice!
